One of the best spots I have stayed in my life of traveler. On an island, I always research the combo: cabin + waterfront.
And each new destination, I want a similar place at Dolphin Bungalows, without to have never been able to find.
Arrival at the port of Kho Phangan, you take a pickup to cross the jungle to Thong Nai Pan. Then, walking along the beach walk to get to Dolphin. No website, no phone: you can not book, ask if there are bungalows available.
They were built a little back from the beach deeper into the rain forest quiet and all that shimmering greenery provides a magical setting at the place and a little wild (see photos below). You are in total disconnection. The interior is basic but comfortable. And a hammock on the terrace.
Compared to other more bungalows on the beach, close to each other, noisy places where the backpacker are partying very late, the Dolphin seems to be a haven of peace.
The reception is located on the beach and you take your breakfast feet in the sand facing the sea.
7 years ago, I paid 800 baht one night but it seems to me that since the prices have increased.
