Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, Tulum, Mexico – AMERICA

A nature reserve on the list of World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO

Sian Ka’an (« where the sky is born » in Mayan language) is a biosphere reserve located in Quintana Roo in the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, registered since 1987 on the World Heritage List. Protected area, it counts including over 300 species of birds, an incredible diversity of plants and animals and includes marsh, mangrove and rainforest that we have not been able to discover in its entirety. We left in the afternoon, it would have taken about a day to browse the channels through the mangroves, swim in the waters of a cenote, visit a Mayan site or fish because it covers more than 40 km . It is a circuit to 4 * 4 in the morning. We rode on a city bike … not imagine having to avoid a succession of potholes on the way. It was hot. Then we stopped at a private beach after 40 minutes of cycling. We met three Mexican supercharged singles, boosted in Corona. It was to be 10 to break everything on this long stretch of ten kilometers. It changes us summers in the French Riviera …
