Where to sleep not too expensive in Ortigia …
Be aware that hotel prices in Ortigia is more expensive than those charged to Syracuse. The charm has a price. However, I found a bed and breakfast, not too expensive, opposite the sea for 45 euros a night for a apart of 40 sqm located on a cliff overlooking the sea at Syracuse. Residenza Turistica Alberghiera dei Baroni offers independent apartments just 500 meters from the castle Castello Maniace, Fonte Aretusa and Piazza Duomo is a 7 minute walk.
The air-conditioned apartments include a kitchen, a living / dining area and a TV. Some units have balconies with views of the sea.

The -: no wifi in the room … but available in public areas
