A nice beach near the port
Kamares beach is not renowned for its charm. Yet nestled in the Kamares bay near the port of arrival of the ferry, its sandy beach (one of the only island with Vathi) strewn with straw parasols is a call to relax. Sheltered by high mountains, the scenery is interesting because it contrasts with the idyllic postcards of palm and coconut trees. I found it rather nice and clean especially as it is very close to the port. Even the sand left on you shiny sequins.
For families, it is an ideal beach.

Around the beach you will find all the shops and amenities close at hand. But also terraces of bars. To be more quiet, just go down the beach-side neighborhood of Agia Marina, where you will find a secluded cove.
